Lungile Nzimande's love for modeling

Meet Lungile @ReflectSA promotes your modeling!

The best way to make sure that, you live your dream, is to pursue your
interests at a very young age. I love how young woman like Lungile take an
initiative to follow their dreams:

Lungile: "I'm a kind of girl who is energetic, outspoken, I love fashion,
my inspiration is Bonang Matheba and Tyra Banks. I started modeling when I
was 7 where I competed in Miss Green village, with other kids; then I
started competing in other beauty pageants like Miss Rivonia, Face of
Africa, Face of North Gate and Miss million Dollar. At first I felt like I
was forcing but as I got to compete in other beauty pageants I gained more
interest in modeling".

On her other interests Lungile tells me about her love for sport, business
and her career goals: "Besides modeling, I also play soccer at my school
and I'm involved in a project that is about entrepreneurship and my goal is
to be a super model + dentist".

I love how reflect SA models seem to accomplish its mission to promote
these inspiring young man and women into reaching their highest potentials
in modeling and just giving them that one more step to see them live their
dream.

Limpopo Male model Joins @ReflectSA

Passion is the drive to ones fulfillment in life. Introducing him self is
Clifford Mokabane a 20 year old , fashion male model born in a small
village of Limpopo, currently living in Witbank".

By now as a Reflect viewer you should know that from time to time, a new
model gets introduced to this family.
He tells me: "I loved Modeling since I was 8years old,I used to see other
kids on magazines, advertising clothes from jet store. I wanted to be like
them but I thought they were from rich families or their parents work at
jet store".

Modeling started as just an interest with Clifford, passion and
determination however is the drive that saw him joining @ReflectSA models,
to pursue his endeavor of becoming a glamour model. Clifford with a height
of not less than 1,7 and his evident pose from the picture, sure does
catches ones attention.

Clifford goes on to say that:
"When I was 13years I met some guy called khutso, he was older than me,he
knew what Modeling was and he gave me information and confidence to believe
that I can also be a model. I started looking for an agency around Witbank,
I then found one, which I worked with for 6 months and my contract was
expired. At the age of 18 I entered Mr Emalahleni, I made it to top 3. I
took a break from Modeling for a while and focused on schooling, I went to
college and I did mechanical fitting engineering. But I never stop loving
Modeling, It's my first love I could say".
"I started searching for agencies on the Internet, I found some but I
didn't feel comfortable working with them but I searched again then I found
you guys @ReflectSA".

Reflect SA models magazine as a platform to give publicity and, promote
emerging fashion models and fashion designers, there is just no way I can
turn a blind eye to such potential.

4th on my list of the Elle 8 Rising Star Design Award Finalists is; Religion Inspired collection !

With every one having their own taste and rite to set trends in fashion,
Jenevieve Lyons Papyrus, eight-piece collection that brings together
religious symbols within fashion. I find this very interesting and just
wondering, how it would turn the direction of fashion in the near future,
this collection could bring into the fashion industry a sense of fashion
belonging for many religions.

As detailed by Jenevieve Lyons:
"For the main inspiration there were pages from the Bible, monastic culture
as well as catholic nuns' attire. The collection plays with these symbols
through the use of proportions, for example long and short, sheer and
solid, hard and soft. This concept was exaggerated with the fabric that I
developed myself, a dry rubber-cast, cracked-paint fabric. The collection
is called Papyrus as the word Bible was originally a diminutive of biblos
'papyrus, scroll' and is of Semitic origin."

Voortrekker in today Inspired Fashion sense

Mieke Vermeulen

With our South African history had been challenging then and the twist of
the freedom that we now enjoy, I just feel this collection could just
broaden our thinking as a country on accepting what happened then and
embracing now.

Inspiration by
Mieke Vermeulen:

"I recently read a book that predicted that Afrikaners will embark on a
journey to the south of Ethiopia where they will settle near a river. I was
intrigued and imagined 'The Great Trek II' and what the Neo-Voortrekker
would wear".

"I discovered similarities between the Voortrekkers of old and today's
young South African women in terms of uncertainties about the future,
embarking on a new adventure and being fearless".

One of the Elle Rising Star Design Award Finalists

Lukhanyo Mdingi

I see my self feeling unique and free wearing Lukhanyo's collection
anytime, with out having to challenge my thoughts and maybe of the
onlookers as well. Just admiration and beauty.

I have a good feeling, that Lukhanyo might just scoop this award.

By Lukhanyo him self on Elle:

"The concept for my range was basic. I wanted to use primary shapes and
aesthetics by incorporating them into my range. I wanted to create clean
minimalist looks that are not seen as inadequate and bland, but that are
distinct, powerful and have a natural flow and relation to one another. I
love to use clean lines and staple garments that at the same time use the
human body and treat fabric choices as an illusion. I tried to create
elements of fabrication, minimalism and the natural human body and
silhouette in my story board."

Inspiring Elle Rising Star Design Award Finalists

A news release by Elle magazine on Bizcommunity found my self tempted and
looking forward to see "Petrichor By Jacqueline le Grangeis who is one of
the 8 finalists of the Elle Rising Star Design Award. described by
Jacqueline le Grangeis her self on Elle: "familiar scent of rain on earth,
A love story inspired by the Company Rose Gardens and Adderley Street's
illustrious Flower Market in Cape Town. My concept is based on the
enchanted romance of a young woman, a complete and hopeless romantic
motivated by nature and its significant beauty. This collection aims to
bring out characteristics of hope, joy and enchantment with a touch of
vibrant sophistication. It is a modern take on the traditional quilting and
floral print concept for the young at heart, sophisticated and modern woman
who still believes in fairy-tale romance."

I found my self thinking how interesting would it be to be wearing a
collection of clothing that would give one a sense of 'romance of a young
woman, a complete and hopeless romantic motivated by nature and its
significant beauty'. With so many heart breaks in love, Jacqueline le
Grangeis might just have a great way to give hope and Joy in this Roller
costa in relationships.
