Hi Ayanda Penelope,

We're so excited to announce that applications for the Global Citizen Fellowship Program Powered by BeyGOOD are now open! What's more, this year we're extending the applications to young people in Nigeria too.

In 2021, 15 young people will each engage in a full-time, paid, year-long fellowship aligned to one of Global Citizen's four pillars of activity: creative, campaigns, rewards, and marketing.

This dynamic program will take fellows through a five-phase curriculum, specifically designed to equip them with the skills and tools they need to thrive –– now and in future professional environments.

So, if you're a South African or Nigerian citizen or resident, and between the ages of 21 and 25, OR have a family member or friend you think would be a great fit for the program, visit our website for eligibility criteria and information on how to apply.

We're so excited to meet our new Fellows — and you could be among them!

Hamutsha Village has a model Dowi Makwerela

South Africa is a beautiful country full of people that are full of life, the jokes that you post around, the memes you can turn them into a multiplied skill or talent that can benefit you financialy.

Despite the pandemic that we are all passing through, I am emphasizing 'passing through' because there is surely life after the pandemic,
It not having been the first, maybe not even the last.

This pandemic marks a time that will go down in history on how life had changed in the year 2020 for the whole world.
You wouldn't like to remain in the past when the world has moved foward.

God says we must multiply our talents, as I'm writing I'm multiplying one of my talents.

In the province of Limpompo I have come to know such an amazing guy
From one of the villages, who contacted my platform, interested in modeling, I asked him to send his pictures, at first his pictures were not in the format and on what we approve to use on Reflect SA.
Reflect SA strives to bring out the best in any potential person that we write about, providing them a platform that helps each individual reach their highest potential of success.

Amazingly as months went by this young man from Hamutsha village in Thohoyandou just could not give up, and kept on asking me even on Facebook inbox, if he may try to send other pictures as he had followed the advice and direction of what could work for him, as I get to know Azwudowi Makwerela also known as Dowi, I asked him what else does he do despite wanting to be a model, so that I can compile a profile for him, he told me he owns a salon in a village and is self employed.

Dowi is such an inspiring young man
at the age of 35 years he pursues success and his modelling passion right in his village and has multiple salons in different areas of Limpompo with one salon in Hamutsha village and another one in Messina. He is one inspiring young man adding value into our Country's economy by creating jobs for him self and for others in his village  flattening the curve of the unemployment rate.

I asked him to tell me more about him self, he sends me a text saying:

" I'M an amazing guy my name is Azwidowi makwarela, I am 35 years of age, I live at Hamutsha village, Lwamondo,my body size is 28-29
and I am an humble loving passionate life guy, I am a born artist an ambivert who is motivated by myself and my work, and I am a passionate born hustler and born in a beatutiful valley of Limpopo, I love culture. I am an African who believes in myself and the beauty that life has. I am also passionate about being a fashion model".

He continues to tell me:

"I remember when I was a child ,I deeply had a very real desire of loving myself.
I would look at the mirrors in my younger age and that was a really awesome feeling for me".

He says that:

"My parents encouraged me about looking at my self in the mirror as it makes me feel good about my self, when it comes to my teachers at school They had hosted a Beauty peagant and I definitely joined that contest, and I won.

He talks about how fantastic were his schooling years, and how truly he never gave up on being interested to follow his dreams and make them a success.

Dowi says that  he is still keeping his dreams that one day they will come true.

"One day I realized to keep on modeling although  past years,  I was sad and confused because of lack of information and of how I could be a fashion model, but now, I am a model"

Dowi used to attend his school at  Nndamuleleni secondary school, where he started to join beauty pageants in the year 2000 He latter joined Mr/miss simply blue night club in 2007 in Braamfontein Johannesburg.
Where he won a Mr personality title,
Dowi is one of  7 children to his parents, born number 4.

For a living,Dowi is a model, a hairdresser ,his business is at Hamutsha village Thohoyandou, He has recently launched a new branch of hair salon in Messina.

Dowi's plan for comming to Reflect SA is to find himself in a modeling magazine and to develop and grow his salon business.

You can book for Dowi's hair care Salon by contacting him on this number
( 0648080226) for Dowi's  hair care salon in Hamutsha Tshidzivhani next to Nndamuleleleni sec school.

He says about his village:
"Hamutsha village is the best quiet and calm place village, it is also full of fruits and vegetables, rivers, trees and many good things that will make you feel better about life, people who live here they really like to do their hair all the time, they also like shopping food for their children and they love people who visit their place, that’s why I enjoy to stay in this village".
